There is no denying,  Melbourne loves a festival! Whether it be food, comedy, fashion or film, the city is buzzing whenever there is a festival in town.

2017 is set to be another huge year, with our annual favourite festivals back and some incredible programs announced. Get your diary ready and prepare to lock in some dates!


White Night Melbourne

18th February 7:00pm – 7:00am

Celebrating its 5th year White Night Melbourne returns to our streets, laneways and gardens which the all-night celebration is inspired by the international Nuit Blanche movement, which began in Paris. The 12-hour event includes exhibitions, street performances, illuminations, film screening, music and dance through the city.

Moomba Festival

10th – 13th March

Labour Day weekend brings Melbournians of all ages to Birrarung Marr and Alexandra Gardens on the banks of our iconic Yarra River to the festival with a long tradition.

Melbourne International Comedy Festival

29th March – 9th April

Melbourne will be in stiches when the top comedians from all over the world  including our local favourites take over the city with over 550 shows. We can guarantee you will be laughing out loud!

Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival

1st – 19th March

VAMFF celebrates Australian’s fashion industry while presenting the most stylish week-long entertainment, including world-class runway shows featuring Australia’s long time favourite designers and up and coming designers.

Melbourne Food & Wine Festival

31s March – 9th April

Food and wine lovers will fill the streets and restaurants in Melbourne to celebrate the festivals 25th anniversary this year where the global spotlight will be shining on Victoria while the top food influencers will be in town for The World’s 50 Best Restaurants.
